John Hunt

Originally from Leicestershire (in the Midands), after graduating I did a various jobs, including market research and a long spell in Bristol Crown (=Criminal) Court. But I always tried to learn, and teach, as much as I could.
Rather late in life, I trained as a secondary school teacher in Leicester. School wasn’t for me, but I loved working with the huge multi-ethnic and immigrant populations, and after CELTA I moved into adult EFL /ESOL teaching at an exciting time for British immigration (eg. new EU accession states, 2002, et al).
When I felt like a change of scene, I decided on Poland, having done my CELTA in Krakow and mistakenly believing that the language would be esay to learn…. After 2 years in language schools this year I’m currently doing private work with bright independent students interested in topic-specific conversation (economics, business, international current developments, history, law, social science, psychology, science..). I’m an evangelist for using BBC radio programmes to develop your listening, your communication, and your mind.
