Who's Hugh Mc Henry?
Personal Information
I am from Derry in Northern Ireland and studied French and Business Studies for my degree. Afterwards I worked in Marketing in Spain and Belgium and later as a Spanish translator in Cuba.
When I returned to Europe I decided to do my CELTA which I completed here in Wroclaw in 2002. (I had a friend working here at the time and he recommended Wroclaw to me!).
I have been teaching English ever since, first in Wroclaw, then Madrid and now Wroclaw again!!
I love the relaxed atmosphere here and the city centre is really beautiful. I hope to stay for quite a bit longer!!

I have taught English at various schools in Madrid e.g. Linguarama, SELIC and Wroclaw e.g. International House,Lektor, Cambridge School. I have experience of teaching students at all levels, both General English and Business English.
I worked for five years as a Spanish translator in Havana, Cuba.
I spent two years as an Export Marketing Manager in Belgium and Spain.
I really enjoy cycling and have a passion for languages (French, Spanish and Polish). I love travelling and have visited such countries as Jordan, Vietnam, Italy and Hungary.
My main form of relaxation is reading e.g. Gabriel Garcia Marquez and going to the cinema.
