Good day to you all, I grew up in San Diego, California. From a young age, I’ve always dreamt of travelling but never imagined that I would settle in Eastern Europe. I attended high school in Point Loma where I was more crazy about baseball than academic studies. I eventually became a pitcher on the school's baseball team. I went on to play baseball at the University of California San Diego. It was only at University that I became interested in History and Linguistics, eventually earning an M.A. in TESOL/Applied Linguistics. After my studies, I tried my hand at screenwriting in Hollywood. The work was rather intermittent, to say the least, but I still enjoy creative writing and hopefully, one of my future scripts will turn out to be TV worthy. I’m also very proud of my Irish and Polish ancestry. In 2001 I travelled to Poland to fill in some gaps in my family tree, and though the trip turned out to be more a sightseeing tour, I returned again in 2003. Since then, I have been teaching English to both adults and school children, as well as advising publishers of ESL textbooks. I thoroughly enjoy living in Poland. There is so much more history here than in California, and it shows in both the language and culture. I still travel back to San Diego every year, but every year, this little town of Sopot on the Baltic coast feels a little more like home :-)
