Who's Timothy Clayton?
Personal Information
My name is Tim Clayton and I’ve been a teacher for 8 years. I don’t really like using the words ‘native speaker’ to describe what I do, I don't just speak, I'm a real teacher! I love teaching and sharing knowledge. I have been running my own language school for 4 years. We provide lessons with great teachers all around Wrocław. Our focus is on business lessons in the clients workplace but we also offer individual lessons at the client's home.
I came to Wrocław with my wife 6 years ago, I speak Polish fluently but don’t use it too much in lessons unless I have to :) We've got 3 children and a happy life here.

- Extensive proof-reading and translation experience
- 8 years teaching adults and children of all ages in groups and individually.
- Over 10000 hours in the classroom.
- Exam preparation courses and intensive learning courses.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of business English, legal English and specialised industries such as animal and human nutrition and medicine, insurance and retail.
- BA/BSc in Creative English and Geography at Bath Spa University (2000).
- TEFL qualification (2004).
- Management experience running a language school for 4 years.
- Interviewing, IT and organisational skills.
Sports: football, squash, cycling, skiing and marathons.
Books: Patrick O'Brain, Terry Pratchett, Bohumil Hrabal, Sue Townsend and many more.
Music: Playing the guitar, singing in a band and listening to anything I haven't heard before. Collecting vinyl.
Travelling: I've spent time in South America, Australia, China, Denmark and the Czech Republic.
