Upon contacting me, you will discover that I have both excellent qualifications and varied English teaching experience. I am a highly motivated and energetic educator. As a lifelong learner, I am always looking for ways to improve my practices, both within large classroom settings and in private lessons and tutoring. My approach to teaching is student-centered. Individual lessons are specifically created to suit the interests and needs of each student I work with, both in lesson format/style and content. I place special emphasis on the direct method and communicative approach to language learning.

Previous English Teaching Experience:
From September 2007 to May 2009, I lived and worked in Katowice, teaching for private language schools and providing private lessons to individual clients. I have had experience preparing students for FCE, CAE, and TOEFL exams as well as instructing individuals and small groups in reading, writing, grammar and speaking.
In addition to experience teaching English as a foreign language, I have taught college-level English writing and communications courses.
From September 2009 to December 2010, I worked as an English Composition and Workplace Communication (Business English) Instructor for a private college in Michigan. As a Composition instructor, I worked with students to improve critical thinking and analytical skills as well as to provide clearer structure to academic writing. As a Workplace Communications instructor, I guided students to become clearer communicators within common business situations. This was a writing intensive course, with strong emphasis on creating business documents, including: resumes, memos, common business letters, and reports.
